Opportunity
Titan Football was created to provide an opportunity for homeschool athletes to compete. Learning to work together as a team creates life skills that better prepare our student athletes for their future. Also, to facilitate a gathering of like-minded families to expand their sphere of influence and make a difference in the homeschool community.
"Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don't recognize them."
- Ann Landers
Unity
Our vision this year is a vision of unity, not only between the athletes but also the teams, families, and coaches. A house divided against itself cannot stand. (Matt 12:25)
"Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success."
- Henry Ford
Excellence
Our vision is to take what we have and do our absolute best with it.
"If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception; it is a prevailing attitude."
- Colin Powell
Execution
Our goal this year is to attack all challenges head on, make a plan and execute it to the best of our abilities while maintaining a spirit of excellence and unity. Execute our practices, plays and the knowledge we have acquired to make the most of all the gains we have and will continue to make both on and off the field.
"No excuses. No explanations. You don’t win on emotion, you win on execution."
- Tony Dungy
Repetition
In our effort for excellence, we cannot leave out the most important aspect of doing the best with what we have and making the most of our time and that is repetition. It sounds so simple, but it is repetition that will help our athletes and coaches attain the confidence and skills needed to be as successful as possible during game time. From snapping the ball, blocking, wrapping up, it’s the reps that are going to take us to the next level. Knowing what to expect and executing it every single day.
"Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment."
- Zig Ziglar
LHCAA Titans Football Code of Conduct
- We first and foremost represent Christ and then the Titan organization.
- Follow the rules of the game at all times, and maintain sportsmanlike conduct, meaning respect your coaches, referees, teammates, and opposing team.
- Communication and punctuality are essential and required. Players will be on time to all scheduled events and provide adequate notice when not able to make practices/games.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct in a game will result in removal from the game at the coach’s discretion and the player will not be eligible for Titan of the Week.
- Posting and commenting on social media is highly encouraged, however, remember everything you do on social media reflects your character and integrity. Player agrees to refrain from posting anything that will negatively reflect on the team or themselves. If a player chooses to post a negative comment or post coaching staff determines the level of appropriate discipline.
- Profanity/Foul Language will not be permitted.
- All music in the locker room or on the field must be appropriate, without vulgar or explicit lyrics. If not adhered to, the coaches will provide warm up music.
- Respect will be maintained between coaches/admins and parents.
- Respect the environment and facilities whether at home, visiting field or in the community as we represent the Titans at all times.
- Cell phone use in the locker room is limited to pregame music only. Pregame music must be approved by the Head Coach. Photography in the locker room is strictly prohibited. Cell phone use during practice is strictly prohibited without Head Coach approval.
Use the guidelines below to help determine the size of equipment needed. When all else fails, go to Cardinal's and try on the equipment with Jersey and Pants!
Helmet
Use a flexible measuring tape or string. Start to measure at a spot on the forehead, about 1" above your eyebrows (this is where the forehead pad of the helmet will rest) Wrap the measuring tape around the widest circumference of the head to get the most accurate reading.
When choosing the correct size shoulder pad, first measure across the back from the tip of the shoulder blade to the tip of the shoulder blade. If it is not an even number, round up to the next half inch.
Measure Waist Size - NOTE: Measure the waist around the narrowest part (typically the small of your back and where your body bends side to side), keeping the tape horizontal. (Note: The player may not have normal length of legs shorter/longer. This may cause a sacrifice to be made in length or in waist. You make the call.)
With your arms at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest, by crossing the shoulder blades at the back, reaching under the arms and meeting up in front.
Use the guidelines below to help determine the size of equipment needed. When all else fails, go to Cardinal's and try on the equipment with Jersey and Pants!

Registration Guide
High School Football
Hello! We are super excited about your interest in our Football program. This packet will give some detail about our program, information on how to register, and a very tentative calendar of what to expect this spring/fall.
For a list of our coaches and administrators, please see the Coach/Admin info page.
Basic Info
Titan football has been around over 14 years.
In season play runs August thru November. Spring training runs late April - thru May, with Strength and Conditions Camp running mid-June thru July.
We are blessed to be able to practice at the field behind St John Newman Church (5802 22nd Pl). We play home games at Wilson High School (1411 Green Ave, Wilson, TX).
Everything we do for registration and payments will be online this year. Things may seem redundant or repetitive, but the changes we are making will save close to 40+ hours for those of us volunteering as coaches and administrators. This is a volunteer-run organization, and it takes all of us to make this work. We are thankful for your full participation in advance!
Registration will be open February 6 - March 6 and requires 13 STEPS, listed below. Athletes will NOT be able to participate in this program if ALL STEPS are not completed by March 6 (or other respective due date). Please read all parts of the registration process - it is clear and concise. If you have any questions that are not answered in the entirety of the packet, please email us at admin-football-hs@lubbocktitans.org
